Brandon Barash OUT At Days of Our Lives…But Will He Be Back?

After months of rumors that Brandon Barash finished taping the role of Stefan DiMera months ago and the character would be gone by fall, reports are now confirming the actor’s departure from Days of Our Lives.

According to Soaps.com, Barash and Stefan will indeed be off our DAYS screens by the end of October, but there are also rumors circulating that he’s already back on set resurrecting the character. Of course, there is no true confirmation, so October may indeed be his last appearance.

Other social media rumors have Stefan dying and Julie getting his heart. It would make sense to Gabi to allow this, thus alleviating her guilt after leaving Julie in the park suffering a heart attack.

While having no heart might make it seem impossible for Stefan to return, General Hospital resurrected little Jake Webber after he allegedly donated a kidney to Josslyn Jacks. It turned out, Nelle Benson unwittingly donated that organ.

Barash became a pinch hitter when he stepped into the role of Stefan as an emergency recast when Tyler Christopher could no longer play the part. His chemistry with Camila Banus’ Gabi was palpable and the pair became almost instantly popular, something DAYS might not have expected to happen when they wrote him off.

After all, DAYS is filmed more than six months ahead so it’s hard to gauge a pair’s popularity until that pair hits the airwaves.
