Brady and Nicole on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) — We’re Just Not Feelin’ It

The remarkable friendship between Brady and Nicole on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) has taken a romantic turn – and we’re not quite sure how we feel about that.

Yes, we know Brady (Eric Martsolf) has been falling in love with his best bud as he’s helped her navigate the minefield that is her life. It’s what he’s best at — saving damsels in distress seems to be his thing.

After all, it wasn’t that long ago that he was rescuing wife Theresa (Jen Lilley) at every turn. But, when she took off on him, he turned to gal pal Nicole to get his white knight fix satiated.

She certainly was in need since she’s pretty much been a mess since her beloved Daniel died and she hooked up with Deimos (Vincent Irizarry). That relationship cost Nicole custody of her baby after Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) refused to turn over Holly, deeming Deimos and his lifestyle too dangerous for the tot.

Needless to say, Deimos didn’t take kindly to Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) rejection. That’s where Brady came in, keeping his great uncle away from Nicole as best he could. But, Brady has once again fallen for her.

When he confided his feelings in Nicole, we expected her to let him down easy. Frankly, it looked like that was exactly what she was doing. After all, she had been engaged to Deimos until about five minutes earlier. And we were relieved.

But then Brady supported her during that Scooter fiasco, and suddenly Nicole changed her mind and realized she was in love with Brady too. We can’t help thinking that it all feels a bit forced.

While we love their friendship, seeing them get romantic just feels off. Heck, Nicole really isn’t even over Daniel (Shawn Christian), never mind Deimos. Also, we can’t ignore the ick factor that Brady has Daniel’s heart in his chest. Of course, is Brady even ready to move on after Theresa? Is it too late to turn back? Please say no.
