Blast From The DAYS Past: Dr. Rolf Returns To Salem

After a nearly 10-year-absence, William Utay is returning to Days of Our Lives (DOOL) as Stefano’s personal mad scientist, Dr. Rolf. Of course, with Stefano dead, we wonder who he’ll be working for this time.

According to the Jason47 DAYS website, Utay makes his Salem comeback in the fall. Coincidentally (or maybe not so coincidentally), that’s when we begin seeing stories written by Ron Carvilati, and also when we get two other comebacks–one from Alison Sweeney as Sami and another from Chandler Massey as Will.

Last week, Soap Hub reported on an audition tape floating around Vimeo (which has now been taken down) with scenes involving bringing people back to life.

We also know DAYS was taping its Halloween episodes last week, thanks to a script from Freddie Smith posted on his Instagram.

So, will Dr. Rolf be the one to bring someone back to life? Will that someone be Will since he seemed pretty darn dead the last time we saw him? Will someone else be making a comeback as well?

Dr. Rolf has performed some incredible deeds in the past, including implanting false memories in Hope and John’s minds, and bringing teen aliens to town.

We think he might have even brought himself back to life when he returned from the dead in 2007, so anything’s possible. We guess we’ll just have to wait and see…
