Days of our Lives fans are known for their opinions – both good and bad. So when we wanted to know what your favorite current Salem happening was, we heard from almost 2,000 die-hard viewers!
The vote was pretty evenly split, with a winning 35% going to DAYS’ multi-year history of epic romances. We’ve got classic couples like Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn), and Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans).
We’ve got triangles like EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), Sami (Alison Sweeney), and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), as well as Kate (Lauren Koslow), Jake (Brandon Barash), and Gabi (Camila Banus). And we’ve got burgeoning couples like Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Allie (Lindsay Arnold). What’s not to love?
An almost equal 33% of the audience is loving the family drama between Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Chanel and the DiMeras. You’re appreciating all the references to Alice and Tom Horton, and even the fact that Steve still remembers his sister Adrienne – which is why lookalike Bonnie (Judi Evans) dating Adrienne’s widower, Justin (Wally Kurth) is so offensive to him.
And then there are the 20% who dig the wild plots. Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) dressing up as Susan to stalk Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin). No one noticing Jan waking up from her coma, killing Charlie (Mike Manning), and tormenting Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Belle (Martha Madison). Yes, please, the more the merrier!
Need a personality transplant? Someone brought back from the dead? A little blackmail? A little kidnapping? Salem should be your first stop when searching for a crazy villain, according to 12% of voters. We’ve got Dr. Rolf (William Utay), we’ve got Xander (Paul Telfer), and we’ve got Gwen (Emily O’Brien). With them, you never know what’s going to happen next! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
