Marlena woke up from her coma on Days of Our Lives! Oh, joy! Except… oops, it wasn’t Marlena at all!
It was her felonious lookalike, Hattie (both played by Deidre Hall). John (Drake Hogysten), Roman (Josh Taylor), and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) came up with this clever plan to hide the still-comatose Marlena away and have Hattie make a miracle recovery to keep Belle (Martha Madison) from pulling the plug.
It worked! No one is the wiser! Except for when “Marlena” accused Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Belle of trying to kill their mama. And now she wants to marry John – pronto! Are fans enjoying her allegedly wacky antics? Here’s what over 4,000 said about it.

Heck, no, 59% shriek! Is there some kind of law that wherever Bonnie (Judi Evans) goes, Hattie is sure to follow? Are they joined at the hip? Do they hire the same writer for their side-splitting dialogue?
Maybe this story could have worked if Hall had better material, but right now, it’s just painful to watch. You’re all dying from secondhand embarrassment, without a Do Not Resuscitate order! Pull the plug on this story – stat!
Make ‘Em Laugh
Hattie is a hoot, 41% of you beg to differ! Instead of boring, stodgy, perfect Marlena, you get a woman who says everything you’re thinking.
Those girls did try to kill their mama! Roman is a hot hunk of manhood! John should give her a big, old kiss! With all the other drama going on, it’s nice to let loose and laugh. Plus, John makes the best Oh-God-I’m-Trapped faces!
Random Thoughts
Two fans think the story is stupid. One thinks it’s far-fetched, another stopped watching, and yet another can only vote: Meh.
