Sami and Lucas are already grandparents together on Days of Our Lives. But does that mean they’re too old to give romance another shot?
Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) was still recovering from being dumped by Adrianne (Judi Evans) when Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) disappeared.
Lucas was among the first to realize that something was wrong, and John (Drake Hogestyn) and Paul (Christopher Sean) eventually returned Chloe to Salem. At which point Lucas pretty much disappeared. Only, in his case, nobody seemed to notice.
As for Sami (Alison Sweeney), she’s been carousing across the globe, looking for the presumed dead EJ. She is so desperate to be reunited with her lost love, that she even shot Marlena (Deidre Hall) in order to get Kristen (Stacey Haiduk) to give up his whereabouts.
Sure, Sami was drugged and Eric lunged for the gun. But, as Hope (Kristian Alfonso) pointed out, Sami never does anything she doesn’t want to. (We’d beg to differ that Sami didn’t want to get raped by Alan back in the early 1990s, but we assume Hope meant everything after that.)
So it looks like Sami will be hanging out in Salem for a while. Would now be a good time for her and Lucas to reunite? Almost 6,000 Cupids shared their thoughts.
Why Not?
What have they got to lose, 54% of you wonder? Sure, it’s never worked before but, in addition to son Will (Chandler Massey) and granddaughter Arianna, Sami and Lucas also have a daughter, Allie.
Maybe it would be fun for one of Sami and Lucas’s kids to be raised by both parents – together. Besides, if Allie is anything like Mom and Dad were at her age – it’s going to take at least two people to keep her in line!
Enough Is Enough
No, 46% of you object. It’s never worked before. Just… no. Don’t go there. Don’t try it again. Just…no.
