Nicole’s Not Staying: Arianne Zucker’s SHORT And Sweet DAYS Return

Arianne Zucker’s highly anticipated return to Days of Our Lives was confirmed a while back, but now we know that she’s only doing one of those short story arcs just like Jen Lilley.

When we learned two months ago that Zucker would be returning as Nicole Walker in October, there were very few details released about it… including whether she was back for good, or for one of the infamous short arcs that DAYS is now becoming famous for doing.

Alison Sweeney had a very successful short arc when she brought Sami back to find her son, Will (Chandler Massey), and word has it that she’ll be back for another one, probably coinciding with Marlena and John’s remarriage at the end of the summer.

Jen Lilley just sent Theresa packing after a very powerful six-week run that had her fighting true love Brady (Eric Martsolf) for custody of their young son, Tate — and winning.

Now comes word that Zucker’s return will indeed be a short one. We were given a hint about what she would be up to when Martsolf previewed her return in an interview a few weeks ago.

“There’s an issue that’s even greater than their arguments and their conflicts that needs to be resolved and only through teamwork, and a bunch of different players that this is going to be resolved,” he teased.

“It’s a cool story that brings Eric [Greg Vaughan], Nicole, and Brady to the forefront and it also involves another player — someone from Brady’s past that comes back and it’s pretty mindblowing,” he teased.

Many people have already guessed that the mystery person from his past will be Kristen, now played by Stacy Haiduk. Seeing all of those characters working together in an adventure sounds like a lot of fun — and like November sweeps are going to be exciting!
