On the April 6 episode of Days of our Lives, Steve offered Brady the chance to put the “Black” back in “Black Patch Investigations.” We’re excited by the prospect. Not just seeing Brady working at his late dad’s business, but what that could mean for Salem’s future overall.

Key Takeaways

  • Steve was part of DAYS’ action-adventure glory years.
  • Brady can pick up the mantle.
  • Who will be the lucky lady to join him?

Black Patch’s Past Adventures Set the Bar for Brady’s Future

Steve (Stephen Nichols, who recently reflected on DAYS) is an experienced investigator. Back in the 1980s, he and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), not to mention Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) and Kimberly (Patricia Pease), Justin (Wally Kurth) and Adrienne (Judi Evans), plus Roman (then-Wayne Northrup), Marlena (Deidre Hall), John (Drake Hogysten), Chris (Josh Taylor — now Roman), Victor (John Aniston), and others, would travel all around the world, from Hawaii to Greece to made up countries, having rip-roaring, dashing adventures all shot on location… and falling in love.

If Brady (Eric Martsolf) joins Black Patch, will he bring about a return to that exotic era? (Even if inside the studio.)

Brady’s Black Patch Future Could Bring Romance and Rivalry in Salem

Brady seems like a very worthwhile successor to his father’s legacy. (His mother, Isabella, had her share of those adventures, too, when she and John were together.) He’d look good racing around on the beach, shirtless, tackling foes and rescuing damsels in distress. (Though, it’s the 21st century. The damsel might be the one rescuing him, this time around.)

But who should that damsel be? Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) seems like the logical candidate these days. She seems up for adventure. Of course, Xander (Paul Telfer) would likely take offense and want to be the spoiler in that situation. He’d look pretty good shirtless on a beach, too. So, you know, win-win!
