Lamon Archey, who plays Eli on Days of Our Lives, seems to have an incredible sense of humor and he also seems to know what fans enjoy, Maybe because he enjoys the same thing, too — bloopers!
In the latest blooper that he tweeted this week, Abe (James Reynolds) and Sheila (Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins) are having their intense discussion at the pub when Reynolds ends up having a rough time with a line, causing his co-star to crack up.
The two actors obviously have an easy chemistry with each other, and it shows onscreen. Sheila, a good childhood friend of Archey’s character, is quickly proving herself to Abe after a rocky start but it looks like the show is trying to take their fun banter and turn it into more — like a romance.
Now that Valerie (Vanessa Williams) seems to have moved away for a job and doesn’t have enough time to devote to her relationship with the mayor, he’s come to depend on Sheila more and more. But, should the show go down the road to romance for these two?
They seem to be skating around it with each accusing the other of leaning in towards a kiss but in the era of #MeToo. Is DAYS being a little tone deaf here? Abe is Sheila’s boss and it’s rather inappropriate for him to make a move on his executive assistant.
Not only that, didn’t Sheila make noises a little while ago when she thought Abe was making a move that she may have reason to talk with human resources about him or did Soap Hub imagine that?
It’s an election year and Abe is in the fight of his life from Jack (Matthew Ashford) and a scheming Eve (Kassie DePaiva). Why open himself up to this? Surely Abe isn’t that lonely…or stupid. If DAYS wants to pursue this pairing, at least do it in a smart way. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
