On Days of our Lives, John’s aneurysm has led to a side effect – he flies off the handle at the slightest provocation these days. Though often for good reason. Who hasn’t wanted to give Sami (Alison Sweeney) or Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) a no-holds-barred talking to?
Days of our Lives Polling
Are fans enjoying him speaking truth to the power, or do you want your old, sweet John (Drake Hogysten) back? Almost 4,000 fans told it to us straight:
Cut It Out
A winning 89% have had enough. This is not John. OK, we know, we know, there have been many Johns over the years. Wrapped up like a mummy John. Roman John. Soldier of Fortune John. John Alamain. John Brady DiMera. Robo John. But this John is one John too many.
The only John you want to see is romantic John. The one who loves Marlena. The one who speaks suggestively of strawberries and cream. The one who stands by his woman and does whatever she wants and keeps the home fires burning and has no opinions of his own. Especially cranky ones. You like your John easily manageable. So hurry up and get well soon – and quit with the yelling.
Bring It On, John
John is saying everything we’ve wanted to say for years – decades, 11% of the Days of our Lives fans cheer. Everyone in Salem is just too damn polite. Angry John isn’t. He’ll tell everybody off. Why stop with Sami and Kristen? Go door to door, John, and tell everybody what you think of them.
Sure, accusing Steve (Stephen Nichols) of wanting Marlena (Deidre Hall) was a bit out of line. But John is right more often than he’s wrong. Think of all the sense he could yell into people? Why he could spend multiple days at the DiMera house alone. We’ll get the popcorn, sit back, and enjoy! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
