So, Andre Never Changed on Days of Our Lives! Does That Even Shock You?

While Salem may have thought Andre DiMera had been mellowing in his advanced years, he proved how foolish that thought was on today’s Days of Our Lives (DOOL).

It had been so nice to see Andre (Thaao Penghlis) showing a tender, softer side with his family. He made Chad (Billy Flynn) think he could trust him, he accepted dating advice from Abigail (Marci Miller), and he even made inroads with the Iron Lady herself, Kate (Lauren Koslow), his reluctant wife.

But all of that was revealed to be a sham today when he admitted to Vivian (Louise Sorel), of all people, what his true agenda has been. It turns out that he’s been in cahoots with her to be the real power while Stefan (Tyler Christopher) has the title in name only. Then again, what can one expect from a serial killer?

We can’t help but think that like Wile E. Coyote and others before him, Andre’s super evil genius plan is doomed to fail. Why? Because he has everything he says he wants now, which in soap opera (and cartoon) talk means he better look up – to watch the anvil drop squarely on his head.

So who will be the one to drop Stefano’s oldest to the ground first? The list is formidable.

When Chad realizes he was duped once again by Andre – and worse, that Andre used Abby – well there won’t be a safe place in Salem for Andre to take shelter. We also can’t see Abby just turning the other cheek either.

But, Kate will go practically apoplectic for having allowed herself to be taken in by a known scoundrel. We expect literal scorched earth all around Andre when she learns the truth.

There is also a wildcard in all of this. Does Stefan even know that he’s seen as just a figurehead in this plot between his mother and Andre? Considering his vast experience, we doubt it. When he sees he’s been played for a fool too, we’ll learn what this newest DiMera is really made of!
