Alison Sweeney Takes International Women’s Day By Storm

It’s International Women’s Day and daytime has given us some of the strongest and fiercest women on television. One woman who has done it all since her teenage years is Alison Sweeney.

The former and hopefully future Days of Our Lives (DOOL) star has played one of the strongest women in daytime history — Sami Brady. Sami is a woman who takes charge of every situation and never sits around letting anyone else decide things about her life.

Sweeney has made a career for herself outside daytime while still on daytime. She’s written novels, hosted a reality TV show (The Biggest Loser), and produced and directed a series of movies for Hallmark.

With all this going on, she’s also a dedicated and hands-on mom to two kids, Benjamin and Megan.

The outspoken actress is the ideal woman to pay tribute to other women–especially on International Women’s Day when women everywhere are fighting back against a male-dominated society.

She did this as any mother would, giving a special dedication to the fierce females in her life, including her young daughter.
