It sounds like fan fiction – Days of our Lives’ Sami Brady being paired with All My Children’s Ryan Lavery – but that’s just what’s happened, at least with their portrayers, Alison Sweeney and Cameron Mathison.
The duo star in the Murder She Baked movies on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and the actors are currently filming the next installment in which Sweeney plays Hannah Swensen, a crime-solving baker, and Mathison brings to life Mike Kingston, a police detective.
Soap Hub caught up with Sweeney at the Hallmark Channel’s recent TCA winter press where she talked about what’s next for Hannah and what it would take for DAYS to get her to visit Salem once more!
You posted on Instagram that you had an injury to your ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) while skiing with your family in December. How are you doing?
I’m okay. It’s more frustrating than anything.
I bet! You’re the type who likes to stay busy and active! You want to…
(Laughs) Do things! Yes.
So what’s the prognosis?
I’ll be doing physical therapy, the standard protocol. I’ll have to do a little slowing down, which is actually hard for me to do. I’m an active person. I love running and skiing.
What’s coming up next?
We’re doing another Murder She Baked movie and we have written in [my condition]. Hannah falls victim to an injury after chasing a bad guy.
Maybe they could spoof Rear Window while Hannah recovers?
