Alison Sweeney is best known for playing Samantha “Sami” Brady on Days of Our Lives, but the actress has appeared on other shows such as Mercy, Las Vegas, and St. Elsewhere.

Who Is Alison Sweeney?

Sweeney was born on September 19 in Los Angeles, California. She was raised with her two siblings, Ryan and Sten. Sweeney started acting at a young age and first appeared on Days of Our Lives when she was 16. She attended classes at UCLA, studying business.

Along with being an actress, Sweeney has also been a host. She took over duties from Caroline Rhea on The Biggest Loser in 2007 and hosted the popular NBC primetime show until 2015. She loved being able to cheer on the contestants.

Sweeney has developed two successful made-for-television movie franchises for Hallmark Movies and Mysteries called Murder, She Baked and the Chronicle Mysteries. Not only does she star in them but she’s also producing them with former soap scribe Melissa Salmons. Not only that, but she’s also taken up directing, having recently done so at General Hospital.
