Alison Sweeney Brings Sami Back To Days of our Lives

As if the time jump isn’t exciting enough on Days of our Lives, Alison Sweeney has announced she will be returning to the role of Salem’s favorite troublemaker Sami Brady.

The beloved actress announced the news while on today’s episode of Home and Family on Hallmark. Needless to say, Sami will be back with her own special way of moving the story forward. Unfortunately, with the show still being way ahead with their taping schedule, we won’t see her for a while.

“My scenes are not going to air until next Summer, next August,” shared Sweeney, who was on the show to promote her upcoming Christmas movie, Time for You to Come Home for Christmas, which will air on the network on December 8.

Considering the time jump and how far ahead the show is, it’s hard to predict exactly what might bring Sami to town this particular time but her parents, Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Roman (Josh Taylor), her stepfather John (Drake Hogestyn), and twin brother Eric (Greg Vaughan), are all still on the canvas. Plus, her son Will (Chandler Massey) is currently in jail!

We can’t imagine that Sami wouldn’t want to do all she could to break her little boy out of prison. Not to mention there’s dealing with her father-in-law’s essence now living in Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols). Stefano (the late Joe Mascolo) and Sami never got along and she did abscond with a huge portion of the DiMera fortune.

In other words, time will tell what Sami may be up to but there’s one thing for certain — Salem is never boring when she’s around. Days of Our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
