One of Salem’s medical heroes, Dr. Fynn Thompson, is set to leave “Days of Our Lives” this summer.
Australian actor Alexander Bruszt won a contest for a 13-week role on DAYS last year and Bruszt gained such popularity that the show extended the original arrangement by 13 more weeks. According to the June 20 issue of Soap Opera Digest, the second contract cycle has come to an end and the actor is exiting the show.
With Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) on the outs with her other half, Steve (Stephen Nichols), she recently toyed with the possibility of a romance with the handsome doctor from Down Under. Fynn even escorted Kayla to Los Angeles to rescue a wayward Joey (James Lastovic) from Jade’s (Paige Searcy) clutches.
With his departure from the show confirmed, it looks like the two medical colleagues won’t be taking their relationship any further, paving the way for a Steve and Kayla reunion.
