Eric married Nicole after what felt like years of turmoil – including her presumed death – on Days of our Lives. And he promptly took off for Africa. (No country in particular, just the whole continent.)
He hasn’t even been back for a visit since, and his two scheduled visits home were canceled. She’s growing a bit frustrated. Should she tell him off? What almost 5,000 fans had to say about that:
Yes, 70% of the audience is indignant on Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) behalf! How dare Eric (Greg Vaughan) treat her so callously? They vowed richer or poorer, in sickness and in health… did they need to add “in the same town” for Eric to get the message?
We realize the world needs him to save it. But his wife needs him, too. Without Eric, Nicole had to deal with Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) crises all on her own. And, arguably, having so much time on her hands is what led to her making the situation so much more than it needed to be, especially for Tripp (Lucas Adams). Nicole needs her husband back. And if he doesn’t understand that, then she needs to make it clear to him. At raised volume, if necessary.
A smaller 30% of you want Nicole to remain patient. Eric is off doing what he needs to and, as a wife, she should be supportive, and, most importantly, silent. Take your feelings, Nicole, smush them into a tight little ball and hide them somewhere in the deep recesses of your mind.
No one needs to know that you’re suffering. Not when Eric is out there, doing important work that you can’t possibly understand or be a part of. Sit home like a good wife and weave something while you wait for your man to return, The Odyssey style. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
