During the Wednesday, November 13 episode of Days of Our Lives, Paulina made a big decision that affected Rafe and Jada’s professional lives. Gabi and JJ reconnected after he rode to her rescue and punched EJ in the process. Johnny made a big confession to his father. And Body & Soul took a page from real life for its latest reel-life scenario. And now we have questions.
Rafe (Galen Gering) finally recovered and was ready to resume his role as the Salem PD Commissioner. Jada (Elia Cantu) readily handed over the commissioner badge. Unfortunately, Paulina (Jackée Harry) had other plans. She threw a wrench into this peaceful transfer of power when she told the newly engaged duo that she wanted Jada to remain commissioner.
After all, Jada’s record as commissioner was good. Crime in Salem was down, and she made a couple of big arrests. Why fix what ain’t broke, right? Rafe immediately congratulated Jada and gave her back the badge. Will Paulina’s decision play havoc with Rafe and Jada’s personal relationship? Nobody likes to be demoted. There’s a chance resentments will erupt at home and at the precinct.

Johnny (Carson Boatman) admitted it. He cheated on Chanel (Raven Bowens). And now, understandably, he’s feeling the guilt. However, Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) wants him to keep his mouth shut. She doesn’t want her Body & Soul job jeopardized should their affair become public knowledge. Should we be thankful that Johnny confessed to his dad? EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) will no doubt give his son advice on how to keep this extracurricular activity hidden.
But how long will he be able to keep it a secret? Salem is headed into the holidays. Will his life get blown up before Thanksgiving or before Christmas? Here’s another question: Is there any way DAYS can un-write this betrayal? If they could find a way, that would be great.

When Stephanie (Abigail Klein) discussed the Playgal photo shoot on the phone, she mentioned that “most of the hunks had agreed to the shoot.” Who’s “most”? The only actor we’ve seen other than Seth Burns (Ken Colquitt) is Alex (Robert Scott Wilson). All the other cast members we’ve been privy to are women.
This is a fun callback to the real-life Playgirl photo shoot featuring DAYS cast members Robert Scott Wilson (Alex), Eric Martsolf (Brady), Paul Telfer (Xander), Christopher Sean (Paul), and Bryan Dattilo (Lucas).

EJ’s war with Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) and Stefan (Brandon Barash) involved both sides attempting to destroy each other’s lives. While Gabi should NEVER have spent any time in prison for a crime she didn’t commit, she needs to take responsibility for her own actions that led to the destruction of her marriage. The greed that these three all exhibited in their war over DiMera resulted in disaster, destruction, and, apparently, denials.

Wow, we almost forgot about what Gabi (Susan Seaforth Hayes) did to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) when she had control of Julie’s pacemaker. That was a vicious and cruel act. While JJ (Casey Moss) said he was still angry about what she did to Julie, we’re not totally buying it. What happened was years ago, and so, with time, that anger has undoubtedly faded. Having said that, nothing Gabi’s showing right now screams she’s truly sorry for what she did.

Has the redemption bug hit Gabi? Are we truly going to see her get her act together? Spending a year in jail would normally convince us; however, ever since she got out, she’s traveled a path of revenge and hate sex. Has she come to her senses? Is it because of the sudden end of her marriage that she’s rethinking her life? More importantly, will it stick?
