The nominees for Outstanding Drama Series for the 2024 Daytime Emmys have been announced. Last year, there were five nominations with the digital soap — Popstar! TV’s The Bay — getting nominated alongside the Big Four. This year, a reboot of an Australian soap joins the fun.
Six Nominees for Outstanding Drama Series
Access Hollywood carried the exclusive announcement. The six nominees making up the Outstanding Drama Series category are:
- General Hospital (ABC)
- The Bay (Popstar! TV)
- The Bold and the Beautiful (CBS)
- Days of Our Lives (Peacock)
- The Young and the Restless (CBS)
- Neighbours (Amazon Freevee)
General Hospital won Outstanding Drama Series last year. However, with this year’s nominations, the show was snubbed in the leading actor category while snagging two nods in the leading actress category. For those not in the know, Amazon rebooted the Aussie soap Neighbours two years after its cancellation.
The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards air Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and Paramount+.
