Ellis Hollins is a British actor who is best known for playing Tom Cunningham in Hollyoaks for almost 20 years.

Along with his work in the British soap, Hollins has also appeared in films such as Alpha Male and the TV show Little Crackers. From where he was born and raised to starting his acting career at a very young age, here are five fast facts you need to know about the actor.

Who Is Ellis Hollins?

He was born on November 14 in Manchester, England, where he was also raised. Though he started acting at a very young age, Hollins has attended both Lyndhurst primary school and Judith Barkers Drama Academy.

Soap Career
Hollins was cast as Tom Cunningham in Hollyoaks in 2000 when he was only a few weeks old, which means he’s been on the show for close to 20 years and pretty much his entire life. He and his character have managed to grow up onscreen, endearing him to fans of the show.

Thanks to his great work on the soap, Hollins has been nominated and won a number of awards. He was nominated for Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress at the British Soap Awards in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2011, and he took home the trophy in 2006.

Spinoffs

While he’s been on Hollyoaks for almost two decades, Hollins has also appeared in a number of Hollyoaks spinoffs. He was in Hollyoaks Later in November 2008, as well as Hollyoaks: The Good, the Bad and the Gorgeous, which aired in October of 2009. He also starred in Tom’s Life, which was a spinoff about his character in 2014.

The young star has never been married but he has frequently been sharing photos of himself with a girl on Instagram, leading fans to believe he does, in fact, have a girlfriend.
