Ben Price is a British actor who is best known for playing Nick Tilsley on-and-off on Coronation Street for a decade.
Along with his work on the British soap, Price has also appeared on shows like Footballers’ Wives, Casualty, and The Bill. From where he was born and raised to starting a family, here are five fast facts about the actor.
Who Is Ben Price?
He was born on January 1 in Newcastle upon Tyne, where he was also raised. He attended Gosforth East Middle School and Gosforth High School and took acting classes at the Live Theatre in his hometown. He then went on to London’s Drama Center and graduated from the Central School of Speech and Drama.
Soap Career
Armed with the tools he needed, the actor was cast as Nick Tilsley in Coronation Street in 2009. However, in January 2017 he announced his departure from the role. About a year later, it was revealed that Price would be returning to the show. He made his on-screen return in the fall of 2018.

Along with being a television actor, he has also done a lot of theater work throughout his distinguished career. He has been in many productions, including All’s Well That Ends Well, Shoe Shop of Desire, Entertaining Mr. Sloane, and The Backroom.

Not only is Price a dedicated actor, but he was also a bit of a daredevil. He used to race motorbikes when he was in school. However, a motorcycle accident permanently damaged his knees, so it’s no longer safe for him to engage in his love for racing.

He reportedly met his wife, Alexandra Wheeler, while working together in a play called On The Razzle. The couple married in 2005 and they have two children together — a daughter named Paloma and a son named Maximilian.
