Sooner or later, Thomas’s friends and family are going to realize he needs psychiatric help on The Bold and the Beautiful. Fortunately, the show has a few qualified doctors in the family and on the canvas who might be able to lend support to the troubled young man.

The Bold and the Beautiful Polling

Soap Hub asked BB fans who they think will be the right doctor to treat Thomas. Read on to see how your choice ranked in our poll!

Finnegan, Begin Again

The majority of you, over 47%, in fact, feel that Finn (Tanner Novlan) should take on Thomas’ case. First off, he’s not a blood relative, but he is familiar with Thomas’s situation so, he could step right in and provide care. While we don’t know Finn to be a psychiatrist, we don’t know that he’s not one either. BB fans recall that Taylor (Hunter Tylo) started out as Caroline’s medical doctor, but soon, her specialty was switched to psychiatry, which came in handy in order to analyze the Forresters!

The Doctor Is In

Dr. James Warwick (Ian Buchanan) came in second place with 42% of your vote. James is a dear friend of Taylor’s so, it only makes sense that he’d want to help his pal’s son. The last time we saw James, he was manipulated by Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) into doing exactly what she wanted, compromising James’s integrity in the process. Helping Thomas would be a nice way to redeem himself and show the Forresters he’s a valued ally.

Mother Psychiatrist

Fans would love to see Taylor back on screen, but not if that means she’s coming back as her son’s therapist. It’s unethical for a family member to treat a loved one. She wouldn’t be objective! This is likely why Taylor received between 10 and 11% of your vote.

Taylor would be the first to agree that she shouldn’t treat her own son, however, she’d also likely agree that she needs to be there to offer her firstborn emotional support. Taylor’s presence would also be of benefit to her daughter Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) who is in recovery for opioid addiction. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
