Characters on soaps tend to take things down a bit when the holidays roll around but The Bold and the Beautiful still kept the drama going strong when Deacon fantasized about showing up uninvited for Thanksgiving dinner. He actually didn’t — but would he have been so wrong if he had?

The Bold and the Beautiful: Deacon Sharpe In Focus

Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) recently made some emotional pleas to his daughter Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and his ex-lover Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) about wanting to be in Hope’s life. Hope may want a relationship with Deacon but others aren’t as keen on having him around. Would it have been so wrong for Deacon to show up at Brooke’s uninvited for turkey?

Miss Manners, B&B Style

The majority of Bold and the Beautiful fans, nearly 55%, say that Deacon would have done the wrong thing if he showed up. Sure, he’s got charm but he didn’t have Brooke’s blessing to show for Thanksgiving Day dinner. Deacon can still flash a smile and use his charisma to open certain doors, but this holiday is traditionally meant for family, friends, and invited guests. Deacon should not show up!

Bold and the Beautiful: Guess Who’s Coming To Thanksgiving Dinner?

Almost a third of you, about 31%, say that you would understand Deacon wanting to be with Hope on Thanksgiving but he could have taken a different path. He could have called his daughter and asked to meet her privately after she’d had her main meal with her husband Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and the rest of her family. Hope can’t really champion Deacon to her loved ones if he’s going to pull stunts like showing up uninvited.

Hope For Thanksgiving

The rest of you, about 14%, say that Deacon should have been invited to Thanksgiving dinner. Brooke and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) could have given Deacon some guidelines. He could have been told to come for dinner, allowed to sit next to Hope, and then to make his departure right after dessert. Deacon’s hardly the first person to cross the line so there’s no reason why he can’t be allowed to be a part of Hope’s life.
