The Bold and the Beautiful’s Brooke Makes Everything About Brooke

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy Forrester Finnegan just lost her husband to a gunshot wound after being shot herself. As she searches for memories of what happened that night, her assailant, who was also her mother-in-law, Sheila Carter, is still planning ways to kill her to keep her mouth shut.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Brooke Just Can’t Help Herself

While Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) does not know the Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) part of this mess, she does know her stepdaughter who she helped raise nearly died, but somehow the entire situation became about her.

When Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was first shot and Finn (Tanner Novlan) was first declared dead, we knew her family and extended family would rally around her while keeping vigil at the hospital.

Rushing To The Hospital To Be A Part of Things

In fact, that’s just where the Logan ladies — Brooke and Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) — ran as soon as they heard what happened. But for some reason, the writers chose to have Brooke try to take charge of the situation the second she heard that Steffy believed she was still married to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).

Brooke was absolutely appalled that even her other daughter, Dr. Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones), would go along with such a ruse and allow Steffy to believe this. After all, the few hours Steffy lived in the past took its toll on Hope.

Of course, Brooke couldn’t dare let her beloved Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) believe she would think this way, so she waited until Ridge was out of earshot to tell Liam he must put this ruse to a stop now. For Steffy’s sake, of course. Nobody else.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Brooke’s Relief Wasn’t About Steffy

Brooke looked more relieved when she heard Steffy started to remember Finn than she did when she learned Steffy had woken up and was on the mend. Again, this was a choice by the writers to have Brooke care more about a love triangle than the life of a young woman she helped raise.

And when Brooke saw how broken up Ridge was when he thought he would lose his daughter? Well, Brooke made it all about her again. She felt bad because she wanted to comfort him, not due to the reason he needed comforting to begin with. Brooke just wants a nice, neat life and for some reason, that just can’t happen when Ridge’s other family is involved.
