Life hasn’t exactly been kind to The Bold and the Beautiful’s Dr. Taylor Hamilton Hayes Forrester. Luckily for Hunter Tylo, today is a day for celebration.
Happy Birthday, Hunter Tylo!
That’s because she was born on July 3, 1962, in New York City, which means that this talented soap hopper is turning 58 years old! Born Deborah Jo Hunter, Tylo began her acting career in 1984 using the name Deborah Morehart.
Her first role was in the sorority slasher film The Initiation, which was quickly followed by a three-year run on All My Children where she played Robin McCall. Afterward, she joined the cast of Days of our Lives in the role of Marina Toscano, Steve “Patch” Johnson’s heretofore unmentioned first wife.
Tylo’s stint on the NBC soap was capped off by Marina’s death which sparked a whodunit mystery. On June 6, 1990, Tylo made her BB debut. She remained there until May 1994, at which point she left to pursue other projects that included the miniseries The Maharaja’s Daughter and episodes of Burke’s Law.
She returned to BB for a brief stint between 1995 and 1996 before once again exiting. There were further reprisals between late 1996 and October 2002 and in 2004, Tylo returned in the form of Taylor’s “ghost” – made possible by her supposed death by gunshot two years earlier.
However, Tylo returned to the show yet again in April 2005, proving that the rumors of Taylor’s death had been greatly exaggerated. Tylo was on contract until the summer of 2013 and since 2014, she has appeared on the show on a recurring basis.
Tylo’s other acting credits include the films Final Cut, Longshot, and Down and Derby with felloe AMC alum, Lauren Holly, as well as guest appearances in TV shows like Zorro, Baywatch, The Nanny, and She Spies, as well as roles in a number of TV movies like A Place Called Home and They Are Among Us.
Soap Hub would like to wish Hunter Tylo a very happy birthday and many more. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
