With Quinn making sure everyone saw Bill and Brooke kissing at Brooke and Ridge’s party on The Bold and the Beautiful, it threw a wrench into Brooke’s relationship with Ridge, which was Quinn’s primary goal. But her scheme also caused a rift between Bill and Katie.
Heather Tom: Katie’s Dilemma
Can Katie (Heather Tom) bring herself to forgive both Bill (Don Diamont) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) again? After all, the trio has been down this path before. Tom is taking a philosophical approach to the emotionally-charged situation that once again has been presented to her character.
“Katie faced it in a very pragmatic real way,” Tom tells TV Insider. “It was upsetting and devastating [learning Bill and Brooke were caught kissing], but I think she’s at that crossroads where she’s realizing, ‘Maybe this is just who [Bill] is. I want him to be something else. I always believed we could have that, but maybe this is who he is?’
“[She will] have to either accept that or not. [Katie] will always forgive Brooke because she loves her … Is she hurt when she does this? Yes. She also knows she loves her and forgives her. That’s the dynamic between Katie and Brooke.”

And what about Bill? He certainly stood by her during her health crisis last year when she needed a new kidney (and Flo, played by Katrina Bowden, stepped up and donated one of hers).
“I think she can forgive Bill, too,” Tom says. “These scenes have aired, but I like it when they become very adult. Katie and Bill have been married. They have this real relationship. I love working with Donald. I’ve known him most of my life. That’s why we have a chemistry that’s authentic.”
Viewers will have to wait until new episodes return to see how Katie’s future plays out. For now, BB is airing a series of classic episodes as production has halted due to the coronavirus. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
