We haven’t seen Shauna Fulton enter the business world on The Bold and the Beautiful, but off-screen, her portrayer, Denise Richards could probably give The Young and the Restless’ Ashley Abbott a run for her money when it comes to cosmetics. The BB star has partnered with a company to create a new skincare line.
Denise Richards: New Venture
The line is titled CBMe Beauty. According to a release on the line, it includes: “a daily pH neutral probiotic cleanser, a lightweight, hydrating cream oil moisturizer with an optional SPF 30, a retinol-based nightly renewal serum, an advanced eye therapy treatment, a neck & décolleté treatment and a hemp seed oil that it contains vitamins, omega 6 & 3 and fatty acids.”
“I was very hands-on in the formation of this skincare line and its products over the last two years,” Richards tells Soap Hub. “I gave notes on things that I liked and on things that I wanted changed.”
Not surprisingly, Richards has been asked in the past to attach her brand to other lines, but this one was one to which she connected. “I didn’t want to put my name on something that I wouldn’t use,” she says. “I’ve tried so many skincare products.”
Denise Richards is especially pleased about one ingredient in this skincare line — hemp seed oil. “My kids have oily skin,” reveals Richards, hastening to add with a chuckle, “They will not be super happy that I’m saying this!”
Hempseed oil, Richards observes, doesn’t cause breakouts in most people. “It’s very nurturing and healing,” she says. “That’s very important to me. I had a good focus group with teenagers [my daughters], my husband, and myself. It’s a product I’m very happy to share.”
