The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for August 9 – August 13, 2021, feature Sheila Carter making her unwelcomed presence known, an unpleasant walk down Memory Lane for all, and an ultimatum issued.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recaps Highlight
John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) was momentarily flummoxed and then elated to hear Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) admit that she’s his biological mother. Sheila further swears that she’s always loved her son, that she’s never, ever forgotten him, and that she’s followed his progress ever since she gave him up for adoption.
Finn insisted that Sheila come and join him, his new bride, and her family at the wedding reception, but Sheila begged off, citing her less than savory past; Finn persisted; Sheila finally acquiesced.
Bold and Beautiful Recaps: Mother Courage
Back at the Forrester mansion, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) offered a toast to her new family, particularly daughter-in-law Steffy Finnegan (nee Forrester). She broaches the topic of Finn’s adoption, and his birth mother, but a clearly rattled Jack (Ted King) steers her away.
B&B Recaps: Party Foul
The Forrester’s good-naturedly ribbed one another about Finn and Steffy’s wedding going off without a hitch – unlike so many previous Forrester weddings.
Finn reentered the scene previewing wondrous news. He presented Sheila to the assemblage; each family member reacted in horror. They make it clear that the woman on Finn’s arm is not welcome.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recaps: History Lesson
There was a chorus of incredulous gasps and outright condemnation when Finn finally outed his and Sheila’s supposed familial connection. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) accused the pair of running a con on his family; Jack stepped forward and admitted that Sheila is indeed Finn’s mother – and that Sheila had first made contact with Finn as an infant.

Eric Forrester (John McCook), Brook Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), and others relayed a number of Sheila’s more despicable crimes to the Finnegans – threatening Thomas Forrester’s safety, attempting to drown, and later shooting Steffy’s namesake; Steffy tearfully recounted how Sheila shot and severely injured her mother.
Bold and the Beautiful Recaps: Striking Out
Sheila earned herself Steffy’s full wrath when she requests an audience with baby Hayes and reminds the young woman that she is now her mother-in-law; Steffy slapped Sheila across the face and insisted that they were nothing to one another.
B&B Recaps: Aftermath
Ridge physically removed Sheila from the Forrester estate. Steffy demanded that Finn have no contact with Sheila; Sheila privately castigated the Forresters for thinking that she’d abandon her newfound son…and grandson. She later obtains Finn’s phone number and sends him a text message. Unfortunately, he responded with a heart, giving Sheila hope.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recaps: The Best of the Rest
* Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) conscripted Katie Logan (Heather Tom) into helping her sort through Forrester family photographs. They find several to use in a crafts project, though any featuring Sheila were quickly discarded.
* Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) collected their children and made a hasty exit from the reception once the drama began to unfold. Once ensconced in the cabin, they take advantage of the downtime by having a romantic evening.
* Ridge called Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), interrupting his and Quinn Fuller’s (Rena Sofer) post-coital bliss, and inquired about filing a restraining order against Sheila.
