The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, December 21 features Maya’s divorce, Hope’s demands, and Taylor’s tragic past.
Maya Bared Her Soul
As heartbreaking as it was for Maya to tell Brooke about her breakup, it was much harder to spill the news to her parents. The Avants wanted answers, and it was all just too much for Rick’s shattered wife.
Everyone thought their marriage was perfect, and it was, at least on the surface. But, behind closed doors, the issues piled up until it was too many to get fixed.
Taylor Opened Up
Meanwhile, at Il Giardino, Taylor (Hunter Tylo) told Reese (Wayne Brady) all about her life — her war with Brooke, the loss of her daughter, and even her regrets. Her current situation isn’t much easier.
Brooke and Hope are trying to push her out of the family and forcing her daughter to make tough decisions. Steffy’s giving up and looking into adopting so her little girl can have a sister. The more vulnerable Taylor became, the closer Reese got.
Steffy Puts Her Foot Down
Speaking of that adoption, Hope was floored when Steffy dropped the bomb about her new plan.

Banishing Taylor from Christmas was a red line and it’s not one Steffy will cross. She wants Kelly to have a sister and wanted it to be Hope’s baby. But, if it’s not meant to be, it’s not meant to be.
Steffy’s throwing in the towel on their blended family plans. She’s already set up an appointment and hopes to welcome a new bundle of joy into her home in the new year.
It was a jaw-dropping scenario for both Liam and Hope. But, will this change any of Hope’s demands? She doesn’t want Taylor in her life but she does want Steffy and Kelly as part of her future. All that will change if Steffy drops out and never looks back.
