The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, January 2 features a dramatic and worrisome beginning to the year. Baby Beth is on the way but a storm separates her very worried parents.
A Horrifying Labor
Hope’s (Annika Noelle) labor had her rushing to the clinic and right into the arms of Dr. Buckingham (Wayne Brady). In a shocking twist of fate, he’s the only person on staff on Catalina Island and her only hope.
While she should be thanking her lucky stars a world-renowned OBYGN is at her service, she may want to start praying. He only had one other patient and that poor woman lost her baby.
To make things worse, the power went out, Liam’s stuck on dry land, and no other staff can make it to help.
Bill To the Rescue!
Liam (Scott Clifton) was beside himself with worry. All helicopters were grounded, all ferries and boats were docked, and only a miracle would get him to his wife.
Thankfully, Bill (Don Diamont) is always more than happy to play hero.

The Spencer CEO spent the afternoon bonding with Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and chatting on the phone with Will. But, the second Liam’s call came in, he dropped everything to help.
Bill got down to business getting his private helicopter in the air. He promised Liam everything would be okay and he’d get his son to that island no matter what it took.
Will Liam Make It?
Everything is now riding on Liam getting to the clinic in time to support his wife, take care of his daughter, and stopping Reese from doing a very bad, bad thing.
