The Bold and The Beautiful recap for Wednesday, August 22 features nothing but cake and catfights to honor Liam and Hope’s wedding because that’s how it’s done on a soap.
The Calm Before The Storm
After Liam and Hope (Scott Clifton, Annika Noelle) married, everyone shared their well-wishes and blessings.
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) even went so far as to wish Hope and Liam the best in their marriage — a sentiment which Hope echoed as a positive step forward for their family.
At the reception, Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) and Katie (Heather Tom) enjoyed a kiss as Xander (Adair Bradley) and Emma (Nia Sioux) wondered why everything at the wedding was “so chill.”
Later, Steffy shared a photo of Kelly with Liam, and they agreed that this was a positive step forward in bringing the family together.
But, when Hope and Steffy realized that Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor (Hunter Tylo) were in the kitchen for way too long, they realized something was amiss.
Cake and Catfights
After Taylor prepared to launch into a tirade about how the wedding was a mistake and should never have happened, Brooke cut her off and dragged her into the kitchen, where Charlie and Pam were putting the final touches on the cake.

Taylor said that the wedding was a sham orchestrated by Bill, and Brooke said that Taylor was a jealous and bitter old woman.
That resulted in the beautiful cake getting tossed all around the kitchen and all over each other before their daughters broke it up.
Hope and Steffy forced their respective mothers to walk through the reception hall covered in sugar and admit to what they’d done. Taylor apologized and left the reception, while the rest of the guests made light of Brooke’s confection-covered dress.
Later, Brooke admitted to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) that Hope and Steffy were more mature than she and Taylor were at their age.
