Brooke Logan examining her love life on The Bold and the Beautiful, the subject of B&B’s upcoming 35th-anniversary episode, wouldn’t be complete without a look at her short-lived but memorable romance with Thorne Forrester. Winsor Harmon is reprising his role as Eric Forrester and the late Stephanie Forrester’s firstborn for this occasion.

Winsor Harmon Returns To B&B

“I was sitting at home going through emails and got one from B&B asking if I were available,” Harmon tells Soap Hub. He chuckles his immediate response was, “No matter what, I’m free!’ It was a huge surprise and I’m ecstatic about it.” The actor says that centering the show’s 35th-anniversary episode around original cast member Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) is a solid idea.

The Perfect Choice

“Kudos to, Kelly,” Harmon says of Lang. “She should have the episode for the 35th and so much more. Here’s a girl who came in on day one, and I’m telling you I’ve never heard a negative thing come out of her mouth about anything. I’ve had the pleasure of working [with] her on and off for many years. Kelly shows up every day. She’s a joyous person to be around and is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. The show got very lucky when they found her. There’s not a lot of people who can have this kind of run for 35 years, and she’s done it.”

In the late 1990s when Ridge was committed to Taylor Hayes, Brooke and Thorne entered an unlikely but passionate relationship. Stephanie (Susan Flannery), of course, didn’t respond well to the union given Brooke’s history with not only Ridge but also Stephanie’s ex-husband Eric (John McCook). The Forrester matriarch nearly killed Brooke and Flannery ended up winning her first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress for playing Stephanie because of that storyline.

Winsor Harmon Talks Life After #Throoke

Brooke and Thorne were actually married, but the union didn’t last after he overheard Brooke say that Ridge would always be the love of her life. Also, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) was waiting in the wings to turn Brooke’s life upside down.

“Deacon shook everything up,” Harmon observes. “The thing that keeps B&B so successful is [it mixes things up].”

Don’t miss Harmon’s return as Thorne on Thursday, March 24. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
