Holidays on The Bold and the Beautiful wouldn’t be the same without Eric Forrester tickling the ivories, playing some holiday songs on the piano at the Forrester mansion. It turns out that Eric’s portrayer, John McCook, is also pretty festive at this time of the year!

John McCook And Laurette: In The Holiday Spirit

According to BB’s official Twitter, McCook and his wife Laurette have kicked things off this Christmas season! “@JohnMcCook44 is already getting into the holiday spirit!” read the BB social media account. “He and his wife are safely delivering festive baskets to their nearest and dearest. Tell us how you’re celebrating!”

An original BB cast member, McCook has played the part since the show’s premiere on March 23, 1987. He and Laurette Spang (Battlestar Galactica) wed on February 16, 1980. Soon after, they appeared in the miniseries Tourist, which filmed in Europe. They have three children: Jake, Becky, and Molly McCook (who appears on the Fox series Last Man Standing). John has a son, Seth McCook, from a previous marriage to the late Juliet Prowse.

McCook became a household name among soap fans when he was cast as Lance Prentis on The Young and the Restless, a role he played for four years. Both McCook and his wife were staples on primetime TV in the 1980s. John appeared on Three’s Company, Dynasty, and Family Ties (as the Proper Penguin). Fans of the actor learned that he shot a scene as an actor in a commercial within the storyline in the film Back to the Future.

In addition to Battlestar Galactica, Laurette appeared on Three’s Company, The Love Boat, Charlie’s Angels, Fantasy Island, and Magnum P.I. Laurette also did six episodes of Happy Days playing three different characters: Wendy, Arlene, and Denise Hudson! The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
