Deacon Sharpe may be in an unhealthy relationship on Bold and the Beautiful, but off-screen, his portrayer’s got one terrific wife! Michele Kanan was recently honored with the 452nd star on the Walk of the Stars in Palm Springs. Soap Hub’s got the details on the big event.

In 2021, Michele Kanan won a Daytime Emmy as supervising producer of Studio City, the Amazon Prime drama that shines a light on the characters and personnel who bring to life the fictional daytime soap Hearts on Fire. In the literary world, Michele has edited and designed the books Way of the Cobra and The Modern Gentleman: Cooking and Entertaining with Sean Kanan.
She’s also lobbied on Capitol Hill, raising awareness about bullying, and remains active in numerous charity organizations, including The American Cancer Society. Michele Kanan was recently invited to join the Producers Guild of America.
“I can’t believe this day is finally here,” Kanan began his speech from the ceremony’s podium as he thanked the people at the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce and acknowledged the many invited guests who traveled near and far to attend the event. “Michele is indeed a force of nature,” Kanan continued. “It’s been said that a woman can be all four seasons in a day. Well, it must have been monsoon season [the day I met her] because Michele entered the room like an angry storm, very upset, very vocal. I watched her in stunned silence and thought, ‘I’m going to marry that girl.'”
Partners Forever
Kanan said that people can make a lot of mistakes in life but that if you do one really big thing right, it can make all the difference. “Michele, you are my really big thing,” Kanan shared. “The life I share with Michele is completely integrated. I’m her life partner, her business partner, and her partner-in-crime. She’s made me better in every area of my life.”

Kanan went on to list his wife’s roles that many know her from, including mother and producer. He went on to add that she’s a terrific cook and knows how to do electrical wiring. In fact, the first time Kanan’s parents met Michele, she was on the roof of the home she and Kanan shared and was dropping wiring through the roof to set up a chandelier. Kanan recalled his father saying, “Marry her immediately…”

Kanan went on to say that Michele can not only build a computer from scratch but that she could probably give Annie Oakley a run for her money at the shooting range. She has a “devilish twinkle in her eye” and “just a pinch of larceny in her heart…She always makes her presence known, and she always makes me smile,” Kanan proudly noted. “You’re my life, my everything. Congratulations for this wonderful honor, I am so proud to be your husband, and I can’t wait to see what magic you create next.”
