From designer dresses to drool-worthy tuxes and even a few political statement pieces, the Queens and Kings of soaps sure knew how to turn up the heat at the 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
Daytime Emmy Awards: Fashion Forward
Friday night before the awards show, the red carpet was the place to be for any fashionista with the gowns taking front and center. Talk about a designer’s dream! Some of the best looks came from Sebastian Gunawan Signature, who dressed both General Hospital’s Tanisha Harper (Jordan Ashford) and The Young and the Restless star Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson). We also adored Kate Linder’s (Esther Valentine, Y&R) glammed-up Pol’ Atteu garb and Elizabeth Hendrickson’s (Chloe Mitchell Fisher, Y&R) Rat & Boa see-through dress.
GH’s Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) took everyone’s breath away with her look by Dress the Population, as did Y&R’s Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) in her eye-catching ensemble from fashion house The Kooples Paris. Not to mention The Bold and the Beautiful’s Diamond White (Paris Buckingham) in Elaine Herby attire or Sydney Mikayla’s (ex-Trina Robinson, GH) Coral Castillo dress.
Our three favorites came down to some styles that took our breath away. Laura Wright’s (Carly Corinthos, GH) Halston jumpsuit was bright and on point. B&B’s Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter) chose a look put together by Kinsley James and it was stunning. The number one gown came from the 2022 Outstanding Lead Actress. We have to give it to Y&R’s Mishael Morgan (Amanda Sinclair) and the Olivier Tolentino gown that had everyone buzzing.
