Katherine Kelly Lang is an original cast member of The Bold and the Beautiful, so it only makes sense that she’s seen plenty of fandom interactions over the years. Now, she’s coming forward with a special message in light of a storyline shift.
Katherine Kelly Lang: Simmer Down Now
“Even though Brooke & Taylor are at odds,” Lang tweeted, “we should all be respectful of actors playing the parts & also the fans. I appreciate all the love but would like to see more positivity instead of people ‘fighting.’ Everybody is entitled to their opinions, but let’s keep it classy folks.” Lang ended her tweet with a heart and kiss emoji.
What prompted her to send out this tweet? As B&B viewers saw recently, the pact between Taylor (Krista Allen) and Brooke is over in light of Brooke coming to a few conclusions about her former bestie. Brooke figured out that Taylor was behind Deacon (Sean Kanan) renewing his interest in her.

She also noted that Taylor encouraged Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers) to date Brooke, and she overheard Taylor come clean with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) about her feelings for him and disparage her in the process. From there, she came to the realization that she and Taylor could no longer be pals.

One fan, with the social media handle @ColdHeartedBit7, would like to see no one be, well, cold-hearted! “Please remind your fans that the same sentiment should include Matt Atkinson [Thomas],” posted @ColdHeartedBit7. “Some of them have been very nasty about him personally because they don’t like the #Thope [Thomas and Hope] storyline. They have attacked him personally for months on here.”

Concurring with @ColdHeartedBit7, Lang responded, “Yes, the same goes for everybody.” She then added a smiling face with hearts emoji. Whether folks are #TeamBrooke or #TeamTaylor (or #TeamBraylor), most chimed in with applause for Lang stepping in to promote civility. In fact, @soapfanatic93 wrote, “This is why you’re the queen of #BoldandBeautiful.”
