Clean-shaven Thomas Forrester did quite a bit of figurative mustache-twirling in recent months on The Bold and the Beautiful. Now, his portrayer, Matthew Atkinson, is sporting two new looks that are a bit different from the clean-shaven appearance he had on-screen.

Atkinson, who first came to the attention of soap fans as Austin Travers on The Young and the Restless, is sharing a portrait of himself – a digital piece of art based on a photograph. “This is pretty cool,” the actor posted. “Had to share this piece of vector art from @amol_venu. During the show’s production hiatus due to the coronavirus, Atkinson has let his facial hair grow out. There’s no telling how much of it — if any — he’ll keep when the show returns with new episodes. But one thing’s for sure — the actor’s recent visit with the outdoors has given him a boost of serenity.

The frustration of recent trials builds without seeing it and comes out differently for everyone. For me it clouds my mind and gets me centrally focused while neglecting other parts of my life. Take time today to center yourself however you can. Get in nature, meditate, laugh, and pray. It’s not a cure, but it’s a step in the right direction. I love you all.”
The actor ensured Thomas’s place in the pantheon of BB villains by doing the following: 1) using his son, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) to entice Hope (Annika Noelle) into marrying him 2) threatening little Douglas once he learned that Douglas knew the truth about baby Beth being alive!
