Being away from work has presented a series of challenges during the coronavirus, but Darin Brooks of The Bold and the Beautiful is enjoying an unintended benefit of staying home a lot of the time. The new father is getting to bond even more with daughter Everleigh.
Darin Brooks On Dad Life
As his followers know, Brooks and his wife Kelly Kruger (ex-Mac, The Young and the Restless) welcomed Everleigh, their first child, last September. While soaps are already a great schedule for parents (studios are baby-friendly and production schedules allow for time off), Brooks, like most everyone in daytime TV, has been self-quarantining at home.
“It’s [been] hard, but our dog, Chance, is loving it because we’re around every day,” Brooks recently told TV Insider. “It’s scary though because we don’t know what’s going on. I am appreciating the time I have at home and that I’m getting to spend even more time with Everleigh.”

The odds of Brooks getting to experience all the “firsts” with his daughter increased by the fact that he’s around her more often. “She’s rolling around now and she’s pushing herself up,” the proud papa shares. “She’s on the verge of crawling and I’m making noises and she’s copying me. It’s amazing. She’s the cutest little thing. Not to brag or anything, but [Kelly and I] made one cute [expletive] baby!”
As viewers saw, Wyatt played a key role in the most recent original episode of BB before the classic shows began airing. Just before Wyatt walked into the beach house, we saw Sally (Courtney Hope) and Dr. Escobar (Monica Ruiz) dragging out an unconscious Flo (Katrina Bowden), who is on to Sally faking her terminal illness.
“We’re looking forward to jumping back into that story,” Darin Brooks says. “What did Wyatt see? Only time will tell and you’ll have to tune in to find out.” The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
