Even before the outbreak of the coronavirus – which has resulted in Zoom calls and more things being done remotely – actors were doing self-audition tapes at home. The Bold and the Beautiful star Katrina Bowden recently revealed that she is also doing some of those… but that she can’t finish them by herself. Her helper, however, is a real dog!
Katrina Bowden: Woman’s Best Friend
You can get a look at her four-legged producing partner in the photograph below. “My Self Tape DP [director of photography] is pretty young,” Bowden shared on Instagram, “but has a very pawsitive attitude. She has a ruff time with colors because she prefers black and white, but she is able to cut through the fluff and treats her actors really well when she isn’t barking orders.
“Howls she doing overall?” Katrina Bowden asked, somewhat rhetorically, “5/10 but I hope she doesn’t stop retrieving in herself. K, I will see myself out🙏.”
Pal Kelly Kruger (ex-Mac, The Young and the Restless), who may possibly be standing in for Bowden when it comes to doing love scenes on The Bold and the Beautiful – given that her husband, Darin Brooks, plays Flo’s beau Wyatt – caught on to Bowden’s pun-filled post and barked out a few of her own comments.

Maybe Bowden is aware of the old showbiz adage that actors should never work with pets. Why? Well, doggone it, they’re so adorable that they tend to steal focus! It’s possible Bowden will lose her current DP, but our guess is that she’s got a serious case of puppy love… so Yuki may have a job fur years. (It might run even longer if you count dog years.) Don’t like these jokes? Head to the doghouse!
