The Bold and the Beautiful C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from The Bold and the Beautiful (BB)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.

The week of December 23, 2019

Getting a Peloton exercise bike from her husband for Christmas, in what’s turned out to be a controversial TV ad, has paid off for Monica Ruiz. The publicity has led to the actress being offered a guest spot on BB, which she happily accepted.

At the moment it’s a one-day gig, slated to air, next month. However, if fan reception is positive it could lead to more work for Ruiz. Stay tuned…

It wouldn’t be the holiday season without an appearance from Dick Christie as Charlie Webber. Look for the Forrester Creations security chief and Pam’s (Alley Mills) longtime boyfriend to air on Friday, December 27. Please note that with the continuing impeachment coverage, air dates may be subject to change.

The Bold and the Beautiful History

BB made its debut in 1987 and introduced glitz and glamour to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, three decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) iron grip on her family to Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) evil schemes to the epic love story of Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), BB knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Young and the Restless (YR). BB airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
