The Bold and the Beautiful recap for October 14-18 features a continued debate about Flo and Shauna’s status as Logan women, Thomas’ sharp mental decline, a rivalry heating up again.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Weekly Highlights

Social issues are notoriously tricky to discuss on soap operas because the message tends to be presented in a very heavy-handed manner. But this week, The Bold and the Beautiful managed to not only speak on a very real — and very pressing — medical issue but they managed to do so in a very funny way.

Totally unaware of the drama surrounding Katie’s (Heather Tom) recent transplant — and apparently unable to read a room — Katie’s doctors stood in her patient’s room and extolled Flo’s (Katrina Bowden) decision to donate her kidney.

In the real world, thousands of patients on organ transplant lists are dying while waiting for a match to be found and living donors — like Flo — are critically important for saving these people’s lives.

Meanwhile, during the doctor’s spiel, the Logan women are sitting around absolutely dumbfounded that their newest mortal enemy is the very same person that just saved Katie’s life!

Donna (Jennifer Gareis) was the first person to pick her jaw up off the floor and thank her niece for her sacrifice. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) said thank you too. She also added, “but your still in the dog house and I hate you.” Well, she didn’t say that EXACTLY but the sentiment was the same.

A Teensy-Weensy Confession

While Flo was sent home to recuperate, her mother decided that now was the appropriate time to confess to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye)that she laid a smooch on him the night he was passed out drunk at the Bikini Bar.

What do you think? Post a comment!

And Ridge was…surprising all right with Shauna’s (Denise Richards) confession to violating him while he slept. In fact, the incident seemed to downright tickle him, which was actually a really poor message to send to an audience in the age of #MeToo.

Downward Spiral

While Ridge was definitely not bothered by Shauna’s revelation, an eavesdropping Thomas (Matthew Atkins) was practically dancing a jig. After Ridge bid his molester adieu, Thomas confronted Shauna and tried to sweet-talk her into joining forces to outset that ever meddling Broke from his father’s orbit. Shauna didn’t quite take the bait. Not yet anyway.

Speaking of Thomas, the dude wasn’t doing so hot. Case in point: he actually purchased a dry erase board and divided it into two columns. The people who are on his side — Ridge, Eric, Taylor Shauna — and the people who are against him – the entire Logan family plus Liam.

To further illustrate his crazy, Thomas has even listed Steffy and HIMSELF in the pro column. You know there’s a problem when you have to remind yourself that you’ve got your own back.

Zoe (Kiara Barnes) certainly hit the nail on the head when she ran into her new neighbor — and former tormenter — and observed, “You do not take rejection well do you?”

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Three’s A Crowd

Meanwhile, there’s a big storm a brewing between the once-cordial trio of Hope (Annika Noelle), Liam (Scott Clifton), and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Hope nearly hit the roof when she found out that Liam left Beth in his exes company and when Steffy dared to send Liam a text message with heart emojis, Hope declared war!

That’s just like a Logan, Steffy countered. Take, take, take and no concern for your victim. Hope was incredulous …continue reading on the next page —>
