The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers (BB) for Thursday, January 18 feature a day where happy news gives rise to pain and future possibilities.
Kick In The Gut
Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) feels so sure he’s the only one for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Sure, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) appears to have her heart, but he just knows he’ll be able to make her see the light as he continues to tear down his pesky brother.
Unfortunately, he gets a bit of a kick to the gut when he hears Brooke’s happy annulment/engagement news from Maya. He must kick things into high gear to ensure he stops the “I dos” before they happen.
Ridge did do him one solid, though. He expedited Brooke’s annulment to Bill (Don Diamont), so despite the massive rock on her finger, she’s technically free. Now he’s hellbent on ensuring he’s the man at the end of the aisle when she walks down to pledge the rest of her life — again.
Sleeping Dogs Lie?
Ridge gives Bill a visit. While there’s a storm brewing no doubt over Bill sleeping with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), this won’t be the time that little secret explodes.
Perhaps Ridge is thrown because things seemed just a bit too easy with Bill so quickly signing the annulment papers. He knows something is up, but he’s not getting the details out of Dollar Bill.

Ridge also wants to make sure Bill knows about his happy news regarding his and Brooke’s impending nuptials. It’s almost as if Brooke and Bill’s short marriage never interrupted things…
Although tomorrow won’t be the day, a day of reckoning between these two looms on the horizon.
A Future?
Now that he, too, is “free” from his doomed marriage, Bill allows himself to briefly consider a future — a forbidden one with Steffy. What might that look like? Perhaps helping her raise her baby? A happy home of three, consequences be damned! It wouldn’t matter that their happiness would be built on the tears of others.
Is there a Bill and Steffy family in the future after they’ve been father and daughter-in-law? Perhaps, but probably not a truly happy one…
