Here she is, folks! Four-time Daytime Emmy winner Kim Zimmer, who played the role of Reva Shayne Lewis on Guiding Light from 1993 to 1990; and again, from 1995 to 2009, is proudly sharing the news of her new granddaughter entering the world!

“So thrilled beyond belief to welcome the first Weary/MacGregor hybrid!” Zimmer posted on Instagram. “We can’t wait to meet her! Ms. Sophie Rae Weary came into this world in a valiant effort with glorious results by Rebecca, with Max as her second, at 1:48 am. on the 4th day of September in the year 2020!”
This wasn’t the only great news Zimmer recently celebrated. She and husband A.C. Weary have been married for nearly four decades! “Still crazy after all these years!” Zimmer posted. “46 yrs together, 39 married! That’s cause for celebration! Thanks to everyone for their Anniversary greetings!”
Zimmer’s first big role on soaps was as Nola Dancy Aldrich on The Doctors. She’d also played two roles — terrorist Bonnie Harmer and mysterious Echo DiSavoy — on One Life to Live. But it was her role as Reva on GL that shot the actress to superstardom.

Alan Spaulding (the late Christopher Bernau) lured Reva to Springfield to break up the relationship between Vanessa Chamberlain (Maeve Kinkead), whom Alan wanted, and Billy Lewis (Jordan Clarke).
Viewers soon learned that Billy’s brother, Joshua (Robert Newman), was the love of Reva’s life. The road to the altar was a rocky one. Divorced from Billy, Reva next wed Josh and Billy’s daddy, H.B. (the late Larry Gates). Josh left town but returned a few years later after Reva and H.B. had split.
The pair faced many obstacles including Reva’s presumed death, but they were destined to be together — always. In GL’s last scene, Josh and Reva and her young son Colin rode off into the sunset together. Soap Hub congratulates Zimmer, parents Max and Rebecca, and the entire family on the arrival of the new bundle of joy.
