Throwback Thursday: Seven Years Ago on The Bold and the Beautiful

Take a step back in soap history to 2009 and relive what happened to your faves on “The Bold and the Beautiful”.

Too Close for Comfort
Katie (Heather Tom) found Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) clearing out her office and begged her sister not to leave Forrester. Brooke confided that she couldn’t take seeing Ridge (Ronn Moss) every day, knowing he was now with Taylor (Hunter Tylo). Katie said that it was the handful of pills that made Ridge sleep with Taylor.

Cuts Like a Knife
Brooke knew she and Ridge were over after Phoebe died. Ridge blamed Rick (Kyle Lowder), and there was no way Brooke could turn her back on her own son. She also knew Ridge would never forgive him.

Promises to Keep
Brooke asked Katie to help out at Forrester once she’s gone – Eric (John McCook) would need her. She also asked her to get Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) to back off. Katie perked up at the mention of his name. She agreed to it as long as Brooke promised to return to Forrester. Brooke reluctantly agreed.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes
After confirming to a shocked Felicia (Lesli Kay) and Thorne (Winsor Harmon) that he was back with Taylor, Ridge said he wanted to get the company back in shape. The siblings admitted to Ridge they were leaving Forrester. Eric entered and informed them Brooke was leaving. He asked a surprised Ridge to speak with her.

Donna (Jennifer Gareis) comforted Eric and felt bad that her presence caused his kids to leave the business. Eric didn’t want her to blame herself as she pledged to help him turn the company around.

Torn Between Two Lovers
Ridge found Brooke in her office and tried to convince her to stay. She tearfully said it was too hard to be around him. She loved him, and he loved her, but they were at a crossroads because of what happened with Phoebe. They would always love each other, but they couldn’t be together. As Brooke tried to leave, Ridge grabbed her and held her close while she cried. Brooke walked out as Ridge sunk into his chair, visibly upset.
