The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for February 13 – 17, 2023, featured a guardianship battle that reached a blindsiding denouement.
Bold and the Beautiful Recaps: Monday, February 13
Hope (Annika Noelle) and Thomas (Matthew Atkison) are incredulous over Douglas’s desire for Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to be his guardian; both demand that Steffy refuse the request. Afterward, Thomas tears out of the room, and Hope implores Steffy not to take the boy. Steffy resolves to honor Douglas’s wish.
Deacon (Sean Kanan) makes yet another play for Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) affections; she shoots him down. When Deacon persists, Sheila severs all ties with him and beats a hasty retreat. Outside Deacon’s door, a teary-eyed Sheila rues her actions…Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Li (Naomi Matsuda) dog Thomas and his poor parenting of Douglas.
Bold and the Beautiful Recaps: Tuesday, February 14
Finn expresses to Li how much he adores his perfect present…Steffy agrees to take charge of Douglas — for the time being, at least — but suggests that he spend one final night at the cabin with Hope and Liam (Scott Clifton)…Hope and Thomas throw respective fits over their predicament…Steffy apprises Finn of Douglas’s request.
Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) catches Katie (Heather Tom) in a state of undress at the office. In between planning a romantic night on the town, the bourgeoning couple discusses Bill’s (Don Diamont) out-of-character behavior and the Hell that Hope, Liam, and co. must be going through.

B&B Recaps: Wednesday, February 15
Liam tries and fails to disabuse Hope of the notion that she’s a failure as a parent…Steffy works overtime to convince an incredulous Finn that they should honor Douglas’s request. Finn bemoans the inevitable onslaught of drama that will result from taking the boy in.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recaps: Thursday, February 16
Douglas bids the cabin adieu…Thomas visits Eric (John McCook) who pointedly reminds his grandson that he has amends to make. Thomas agrees and declares that winning back his son is his top priority. After filling Eric in on Douglas’s decision to live with Steffy and Finn, Thomas states that the arrangement could benefit him…Hope and Liam drive Douglas to the Cliff House. While Liam and Finn get Douglas settled, Hope begs Steffy to be vigilant when Thomas is present; Steffy promises Hope that she’ll care for Douglas as if he were her own child.
B&B Recaps: Friday, February 17
Deacon good-naturedly ribs Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor (Krista Allen) when he catches them dining together at Il Giardino…Douglas sincerely thanks Steffy and Finn for taking him in…Thomas arrives at the Cliff House expecting to visit with Douglas but Steffy puts him off. Thomas blasts Steffy for not prioritizing their familial bond and vows that neither she nor Finn will keep him from seeing his son.
