The B&B recap for Thursday, January 5, 2022, sees the asking of one of life’s most pressing questions: why are so many men attracted to psychopaths?

B&B Recap Highlights

In this episode, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wondered aloud whether or not Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was actually crazy enough to be in love with Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Elsewhere, Bill pondered the exact same question. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Love Connection

Despite having the long drive back to her clifftop abode to ponder, Steffy still couldn’t wrap her head around Bill’s sudden 180 where Sheila was concerned. One minute he’s calling her every insulting name in the book, and the next, he’s doing his utmost to ensure that she’ll soon be out from under The Man’s thumb. It absolutely boggles the mind.

Is it possible, even conceivable that Bill *gulp* is actually in love with Sheila? Like, truly, madly, passionately in love with Sheila? As hopelessly devoted as Sandy was to Danny? And if that is indeed the case, when the heck did the two even first get together? None of this makes any sense. Make it make sense!

Bold and Beautiful Recap: Object Permanence

Katie Logan (Heather Tom) might no longer be under the illusion that Bill is the right man for her, but that doesn’t mean that she can’t praise him for doing the right and honorable thing. She’s so, so proud of him for turning big bad Sheila in to the authorities, and she wants Bill to know it. Also, she wants Bill to finally, once and for all, ditch that sword necklace of his.

What do you think? Post a comment!

After all, he only dons it for the protection that he supposedly needs, and since he’s proven himself well capable of doing just that, why not remove the symbol? Nah, says Bill. Besides, Sheila likes it on him, and what Sheila likes, Bill’s going to keep.

B&B Recap: Labels

Now, Sheila’s not saying that she’s going to escape facing the consequences for her actions, but what she is saying to Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) is that she’s going to escape facing the consequences for her actions. The real kicker: she’ll soon be back in John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) and Hayes’s life. Game, set, and match!

But wait, Sheila’s freedom is contingent on one little thing…and that’s convincing Bill that she really does love him. That she truly, madly, passionately loves him. That she’s as hopelessly devoted as Sandy was to Danny. Challenged accepted.
