The B&B recap for Friday, December 16, 2022, saw a newly formed friendship win out in the end, much to everyone’s surprise.

In this episode, Booke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) cheered their dumping of Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) with delicious cake and sparklingly water. Elsewhere, Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) fidgeted and feared that no news was very bad news, and Saint Katie Logan (Heather Tom) subjected herself to yet another plea for reconciliation from Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Mutual Appreciation Society
Cheers! says Brooke and Taylor to each other. Now, let’s gorge on sweets! Also, let’s continue to say nice things about one another now that we’re besties.
Taylor goes first. Man, is she impressed by Brooke’s smarts — not to mention the mark she made on the fashion industry. Go her! But Brooke is equally enthralled by Taylor. After all, Taylor’s a healer, someone who gets up every morning and makes the world a better place, one patient at a time.

Gosh, they just really appreciate each other so much! Why, oh why couldn’t they have reached this point sooner? Why, oh why did they spend 30 YEARS fighting one another for Ridge? That time could have been spent teeheeing and sharing unhealthy snacks!
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: On A Mission
Hope hasn’t heard from her mother; ditto Steffy. As per usual, Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) can offer no assistance — and they were really hoping that the nosy parker had noticed which woman Ridge exited the building with. Brooke or Taylor? Taylor or Brooke?

Determined to get to the bottom of things, the women text their mothers and learn that *gasp* they’ve both congregated at Brooke’s abode. Off to stop the inevitable catfight Hope and Steffy flew, and to their surprise, they found Brooke and Taylor…enjoying each other’s company? Huh. That’s something that they can get behind. And no more fighting over Ridge because neither one of them want him? Okay, that will take some getting used to, but they’ll manage somehow.
B&B Recap: Auditory Déjà vu
Bill pulls out all the stops for his last-ditch effort to win Katie back — he even invests in a diffuser! Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) isn’t so sure that Bill should proceed with his plans, but Bill doesn’t much care. He’s utterly convinced that this time Katie will see fit to return to him.
Ever the masochist, Katie does make the meeting — after swearing to new beau Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) that she and Bill are never, ever, ever getting back together. Bill launches into a preprepared speech, the gist of which is I did wrong, I’m sorry, please take me back. Katie isn’t much swayed.
And it’s not because she’s heartless, far from it. It’s because she’s decided that she doesn’t want to have her heart broken for the umpteenth time. How does Bill think she feels when he constantly chooses Brooke over her? When he says point blank that Brooke is the love of his life and not Katie?
Not good, guesses Bill. Correct, answers Katie. But Bill isn’t deterred. He knows that he’s really screwed things up. He knows that he goes around thinking with the head that’s not attached to his shoulders. He knows that he sometimes gets an idea into his brain, and then it’s hard to let go of it — but he was wrong. So, so wrong. It’s Katie who he really loves, and if she’ll just give him one more chance, he’ll never break her heart again. Promise!
