It turns out Eric Forrester is tired of letting everyone else do the designing in the company he started while enjoying a life of leisure with Donna Logan. He is itching to get creative again and doesn’t want Ridge interfering.

It’s been a long time since Eric (John McCook) designed his own line for Forrester Creations after letting the younger generation take charge. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is CEO and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is the lead designer with Hope For The Future — and poor Eric feels left out in the cold. Now, he has told Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) that he wants to create his very own line once again — his way. Should Ridge happily go along for the ride?
Ridge Needs To Tell Eric The Truth
A small 5% of you feel that the future of Forrester Creations is based on new and trendy designs that will appeal to younger adults and Eric’s sense of style and design instincts are things of the past. It’s time to let Thomas and Hope shine and even bring on some new young designers and gently convince Eric to fully retire. Los Angeles is full of them so it shouldn’t be so hard.
A Compromise Is In Order
Ridge isn’t so sure that Eric designing his own line is the right move and Eric feels that it’s something that Forrester needs right now. While Ridge wants to go for bigger and bolder looks, Eric wants to go with classic styles. Since classic styles are not common right now, Ridge feels they won’t be a moneymaker while Eric feels they will. About 47% of you wish Ridge and Eric would find common ground. Perhaps Eric can design but take a cue from more modern designers.

Eric Forrester Is Still The Best
The final 48% of you think that Ridge should surely adhere to what his father wants because Eric is the master. He knows fashion, which is why he was able to create such a massively successful fashion house from the ground up. He understands design and what women want to wear. He just has to be brought into the modern world and learn how to use 21st-century methods that make fashion design a breeze when you have an idea.
