The Bold and the Beautiful star Karla Mosley has some very exciting news. She’s expecting her first child
Actress Karla Mosley, who plays Maya, stepped out in public at the recent GLAAD Media Awards in Beverly Hills and revealed that she is pregnant. She and boyfriend John Rogers are thrilled to announce their precious bundle will arrive in August.
According to Soap Opera Digest, the actress showed off her baby bump at the GLAAD Media Awards in Beverly Hills recently.
Mosley was on hand to accept B&B’s win in the category of Outstanding Daily Drama, beating out fellow nominees Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless.
Because Maya is a transgender character (having been born Myron), Mosley’s pregnancy won’t be written into the show.
Mosley joined the show in 2013. Maya feel in love with Rick and, after hurdling many obstacles, they made it to the altar. They became parents when Maya’s sister Nicole (Reign Edwards) acted as a surrogate, giving birth to little Lizzie.
More recently, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), Maya’s ex-fiance, confessed that he still has feelings for Maya. She gently informed him that she couldn’t return those feelings as she is in love with Rick.
Maya and Rick were both suspects in the recent shooting of Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). Both had been hurt by Bill in the past. He ran stories in his publications about Maya being born Myron when she preferred to keep her past private.
While Maya won’t be pregnant, it’s possible that her baby will become part of the show’s cast! B&B has a habit of inviting real-life offspring of its actresses to play parts on the show.
Katherine Kelly Lang’s (Brooke) son Jeremy Snider played Eric Jr. when he was a toddler. And, Heather Tom’s son, Zane, has played Katie’s little boy, Will.
The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
