The Bold and the Beautiful recently celebrated its 34th anniversary. What better way to honor the show’s rich legacy than to bring back a character who appeared in the premiere episode — Thorne Forrester!
The Bold and the Beautiful Polling
Thorne, last played by Ingo Rademacher (Jax, General Hospital), was portrayed the longest by Winsor Harmon. Veteran BB fans know that Clayton Norcross originated the role. Jeff Trachta played the part from 1989 to 1996 when Thorne did a lot of singing. Soap Hub asked BB fans if it’s time for Thorne to return to the fold. Read on for the results!
Family Matters
Just over 52% of you say that yes, it’s time for Thorne to return. His family needs him. As Eric (John McCook) and Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) firstborn, Thorne is a rightful heir to the Forrester Creations empire. He could come back to town and keep an eye on the business and make sure that Quinn (Rena Sofer) is keeping true to her word about not wanting to hurt Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) anymore.
The Fall Line (Up)
Many of you, over 27%, say that yes, Thorne should return, but perhaps not right now. There are a lot of stories playing out and once those tales start to ebb, it’ll be time for Thorne to come back. Timing is everything and the double-edged sword of BB is that it’s half an hour. Real estate for character development is sought after on a regular basis. You only want Thorne back if we’re going to get to see him.
Ladies In Waiting
Around 21% of you want Thorne back to help fill some empty dance cards on the show. Currently, Donna (Jennifer Gareis) and Katie (Heather Tom) are unattached. (Bill, played by Don Diamont, and Katie haven’t re-tied the knot just yet!) Shauna (Denise Richards) is also single. There are plenty of options for this handsome, Forrester man. If the show brings him back, all kinds of possibilities can play out.
Will Thorne be back? Stay tuned to find out! The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
